MISSION STATEMENT

Comfort Control aspires to be the leader in the TAB and Commissioning industry and related disciplines. It is our desire to have all of our technicians qualified by NEBB and/or TABB. Comfort Control will continuously strive toward customer satisfaction through accurate reporting and documentation.

Management

The administration of Comfort Control, Inc. includes personnel with collectively over one hundred and seventy years of experience in the testing and certification of indoor building environments.

CEO - Robert B. Gawne, Sr.

Mr. Gawne started Comfort Control, Inc. in 1966. He was a founding member of NEBB. Mr. Gawne has more than fifty years experience in the Industry and has served on NEBB's Board of Directors, as President and on various committees. He is also active in SMACNA and presently is a member of their College of Fellows.

President - John Cappell

Mr. Cappell has thirty-five years of Testing, Adjusting and Balancing experience. He is a NEBB Qualified Supervisor in the disciplines of air balance, water balance, and building systems commissioning. Mr. Cappell previously served on the NEBB Chapter Affairs Committee, Board of Directors and was NEBB President in 2007. Mr. Cappell served as 1994 President of the Capital-Mar-Va Environmental Balancing Bureau and as Chairmen of their technical committee. Mr. Cappell is the current President of Capital-Mar-Va and is also on the Technical Committee. Mr. Cappell is a certified National Energy Management Institute (NEMI) technician and a TABB Certified Supervisor. Mr. Cappell has been a featured speaker at NEBB seminars on issues relating to the testing and balancing of environmental systems.

Vice President, Marketing- Michael P Moran

Mr. Moran attended Buffalo State University and started his career with a large Mechanical firm in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Moran came on board with Comfort Control in 1983 and became Chief estimator in 1993. Mr. Moran has over twenty-six years of Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing experience.

Superintendent - Darren Aley

Mr. Aley has over twenty years of experience in the HVAC field; seventeen years of testing and balancing experience. Darren is a NEBB Certified Technician; graduate of the sheet metal local 100 training school. Darren is also certified in Universal Refrigeration. He has also managed several projects for Comfort Control, Inc. including Federal Triangle, US Customs, EPA, IRS and National Archives.

Vice President, Administration and Finance - Kathleen G. Bigelow

Mrs. Bigelow graduated from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a minor in Business Administration. Prior to joining Comfort Control, Inc. in 1990, Mrs. Bigelow held management positions in various legal, banking, and construction firms.

Vice President, Operations -Raleigh Office - Gilbert Przybylski

Mr. Przybylski has over thirty years of Testing, Adjusting and Balancing experience. He is a NEBB Qualified Supervisor and a TABB Certified Supervisor and certified National Energy Management Institute (NEMI) technician and instructor. Mr. Przybylski was previously an AABC test and balance engineer before joining a NEBB firm. He taught testing and balancing at the Sheet Metal Local 100 training school.
